About
Gulinka

For Gulinka, great style begins with the life you're actually living. It's about feeling more like yourself, day to day, in a wardrobe that's built around your life.

Gulinka's style journey started somewhere practical: at the bottom of a suitcase. Years in management consulting kept her constantly travelling to Bangkok, and by the time she moved back to Melbourne, feeling confident in her own style was the last thing on her mind.

Her work wardrobe felt repetitive: the same pieces on repeat, with no sense of how to make them feel like her own. That gap between how she wanted to show up and what she wore eventually led her to train as a stylist at the Australian Style Institute. Her approach is shaped by a simple belief: personal style should make life feel easier.

It's a belief she understands from experience. After years in corporate roles and constant travel, Gulinka knows how easy it is to lose touch with your own style, especially when life gets busy and your wardrobe stops reflecting who you actually are.

It's why she brings a practical, thoughtful and highly personal eye to every session. Rather than following trends or one-size-fits-all rules, she helps each client understand what genuinely works for their lifestyle, personality and budget. A qualified colour analyst through the Academy of Professional Image (AOPI), she works with clients locally and internationally, across wardrobe edits, personal shopping, colour analysis and virtual styling.

Gulinka works with a wide range of clients. It doesn't matter if you're dressing for the job, or ready for a refresh. Styling is for everyone.

  1. 1.

Real life styling, not fashion rules

Gulinka doesn't start with a trend report or a checklist of rules for you to follow. She starts by looking properly at what's already in your wardrobe: what you reach for, what you avoid, and what's been sitting at the back for years. From there, she works out what's genuinely missing, rather than assuming everything needs replacing.

  2. 2.

    A calm and personal process

There's no fixed formula, and no pressure to move faster than feels right. Every session starts with genuinely understanding your lifestyle and the wardrobe challenges you're actually facing. Sessions are structured, and it's a deliberate way to work – knowing what's coming makes it far easier to settle in, especially if working with a stylist is new to you. Gulinka walks you through the plan first, then follows your lead within it.

  3. 3.

Style that truly feels like you

Gulinka measures success by how at ease a client feels in what they're wearing, not by how closely it matches what's currently on trend. That's why every session ends with a Style Guide to keep, so the same thinking carries on long after the two of you have finished working together.

“Gulinka shifted my mindset away from just accepting the style and clothes I wasn't really happy with, into believing that I deserve to be completely happy and find joy in how I present myself.”
